Question:
I remember hearing that sitting on tzitzit must be avoided, so when one sits down while wearing a tallit gadol he should move them to the sides of the chair.
However when wearing a tallit katan with the tzitzit tucked into pants, it would be seem nearly impossible to avoid sitting on the tzitzit. Is there any issue here and if so what solutions are there?
Answer:
This idea is brought in the sefer Od Yosef Chai -Parshas Lech Lecha-3, however it is not mentioned by most poskim. There is a simple option, to wear your tzitzis not tucked into your pants, and if you are uncomfortable wearing them that way, you can tuck them into your pants pocket. This way they will only be sticking out a little bit, and you wouldn’t have this issue.
