Question:
In Hilchos Kedushas Bais Hakneses it says, Ain Mehalchin Bvais Hakneses.
In our Yeshiva there are many Bochurim who pace up and down while Davening in front of others who are Davening, standing or sitting. This is disturbing and creates a situation where one who is saying Modim, is bowing to the Pacer and being distracted.. Is this Osur?
I often think that the Posuk, Daa Lifneh Me Ato Omed applies to this situation!
Answer:
I am not aware of such a halacha, please provide the exact source and resubmit the question.
In general, this idea of not walking in front of someone applies while the person is davening shemona esrei, (O:CH siman 102) but not to other parts of davening. It would be a good idea for you to change your seat to the front of the shul, or to the side wall, where this won’t bother you.
