Hello,
According to Kabbalah, a person should abstain from reading Mikra and Targum at night. However, halachically it is permitted, as stated on Mishna Berura Shar Hatzion 238-1, that although it is preferred not to learn it at night, however it is forbidden, and if one doesn’t have another time during the day to learn them, he may learn them at night. It is also brought that if one learns the chumash together with Rashi or a different commentary, that it is permitted at night.
