I’m painting my home.
Where do I leave an empty spot for Bais Hamikdash? By my entrance or by my table where I eat? Should I frame it as a remembrance, i.e. the non-painted empty spot? How big of a space should it be, in inches or feet?
MAY THE BAIS HAMIKDASH and Jerusalem be rebuilt?

You should have much hatzlocho with your painting.
The place to leave unpainted is the area of a square amah (18 inches by 18 inches) across from the entrance to the house. The idea of this is that we should always remember when entering our homes, that our home and our life is never complete without the Bais Hamikdash. Therefore, we leave it unfinished, and even unsightly looking, to serve as a reminder of this sad fact. Therefore, there is no point in framing the unpainted part.
May Hashem rebuild the Bais Hamikdash soon.
