Winding clever dreams

Question:

Dear Rabbi,

I would seem that every time I ask others to keep kosher, I am met by the same tantrum. You can’t change people they say to me.

Reasonably, I have been right. I refused further co tact with the reform clergy and the remaining people Hashem has built my years around have assimilated.

I find Hashem furious grave because even with improved kosher, he digs me further into a grave of people who do not agree with my lifestyle and change. Ordinary jews ask me not to wear a kippah in public. The rash make no plans to return calls or fear G-d will offer us a better life.

I stay with father and mother who still put abominal treif on the table in front of me and Hashem deals me a dark new mood. There is nothing I can do when they tell me that was not the way they ‘were raised’.

Dad punctuates me by telling me kosher laws are only because we suffered trichinosis. He gets agitated and tells me there is no God to deal.

How does Solomon free himself if everything under the sun is futile. Are not our family times to improve our yiddishkeit?

I constantly am addressed as if Israel was a monster and face difficult breath.

Answer:

Hello,

It is not easy for you since you are living in a very anti-religious area. But rest assured that this world is only a temporary place, no one lives forever, and you will be rewarded tremendously for all the difficulty that you are going through, by identifying yourself with Hashem’s Torah even though no one else in your family does. You are like Abraham, who was called “Avrohom H’aivri” the reason being because everyone in the world was one side, (the idolaters- and he was on the other side- the one who believed in Hashem). Keep up the good work, because you are in very good company. Just look at what the world looks like after all of these people passed to the next world, Abraham is the one who now has the tremendous enjoyment of the world to come, and what happened to all of the civilization of the idolators? They are gone and there isn’t even a remembrance of them, besides that they are getting punished for their sins.

Keep strong and remember, your difficulties will not last forever.

Best wishes
