May one enter a church in order to donate blood? Does it make a difference if the blood drive is in the church cafeteria instead of the sanctuary itself?

Hello,
Jews are commanded not to worship idols, and to distance ourselves from them. Therefore, a Jew may not enter a church. The reason for this is because we are obligated to distance ourselves from idol worship, and the places where idol worship takes place. This law applies even if the person is under considerable pressure to do so (it will cause ill feeling, by not attending an acquaintance’s wedding). Therefore, the sanctuary is off limits. In fact, even walking into the building is not permitted, as it is written that we should not even walk on a path the leads to the place of idol worship. There are poskim who permit going into the basement of a church, under certain conditions, however that would only apply if the person doesn’t have a choice, however regarding donating blood, this is not the person’s need, and it can be done in more appropriate places. Therefore, donate blood, but not in the church.
