I borrowed 4 potatoes from a neighbor, and I want to return potatoes. But I can’t find the exact proportions in the same number. May I return a larger number of potatoes, but some of which are smaller, so the total volume adds up to approx. the same volume as what I borrowed? Or do I have to wait until I can find the exact number and in the exact volume? Thanks!

It doesn’t have to exact, exact, as long as you are not giving back a significant amount more, it is permitted. this is because a very small amount is not something that neighbors are makpid with each other.
