Hi, Is it lashon hara to talk negatively about another's simcha. For example, is it prohibited to comment that a wedding or vort was very simple or nerdy or empty? What about if it's not something that sounds outright bad but could have a underlying negative feel. For example, to say- It was really interesting that there was no intro by the wedding, or to say, there was no good food by the vort.

Yes it is lashon hora to talk negatively about someone else's simcha, because it is embarrassing for the host when people say that it was nerdy or simple. We would not want other people to talk that way about our simcha. Since it is hurting the person's reputation it is considered lashon hora. Saying that there was no good food at the vort is the same as saying that it was simple.
