Question:
Hi,
After using the restroom, am I allowed to wash and dry them in the bathroom, then recite Asher Yatzar outside the bathroom? Does it make a difference if the bathroom contains a toilet and sink only (and isn't used for any other purposes)? This is a situation where it's inconvenient to use a different sink that's located outside the restroom.
Thank you
Answer:
Hello,
Essentially, we should wash our hands outside of the bathroom, since in the bathroom is considered a makom tameh. Therefore, if left with no choice you my dry your hands in the bathroom and say Asher Yotzar after exiting the bathroom. It is however preferable to dry them outside of the bathroom, and then say Asher Yotzar.
Best wishes
