Question:
Thank you so much for your time. I have significant hair loss and many times on shabbos when I go to sleep I mess up my hair that bald spots are showing in the morning. The only way to fix it is by combing my hair and using hair fibers which I know is assur on shabbos. I came up with an idea to sleep on a chair on shabbos so I will move less and not mess up my hair. However I know there is a concept that you should not be less comfortable on shabbos than you are the rest of the week and obviously sleeping on a chair is less comfortable than my bed. I wanted to know if this is a problem of not honoring the shabbos properly. Thanks again!
Answer:
Hello,
I agree with you, that sleeping in a chair every Shabbos is rather uncomfortable. Are you sure that there is no way to brush your hair with your fingers to get it back in place? Try using a baby brush, which doesn’t grab the hairs as it is being used. This way you can have better looking hair and a night’s sleep
Best wishes
