Question:
Hi,
Whenever I boil eggs, I always wash them first - and any dirt usually comes off - or certainly after they have been boiled. However recently I had an egg with a brown stain on the shell that would not clean off, and remained there even after boiling. I wonder if this may have been blood from the hen at the time of laying. I did not eat any of the eggs, and would like to know if the pot needs kashering. I boiled an odd number of eggs (5 or 7). They were white eggs, and the pot was small.
Many thanks for your advice
Answer:
Hello,
Even if it was from the hen, (which is not so likely), it is a minute amount and was botil in all the water and other eggs. Therefore the other eggs and the pot are not an issue at all.
Best wishes
