Making Decisions on business jobs bosses

Question:

Or whether a person should work for himself or someone else ?

Are you meant to love your job ?

Should we looking for certain things when choosing an employer ?

Answer:

There is a benefit to being your own boss, and benefits to working for others. When working for oneself, you get to make the rules, and you will void the frustration, of dealing with a boss. On the other hand, you have to come up with the customers, and the whole headache of the business is on you. An additional aspect might be if the boss wants you to do something that is contrary to halacha, or if the environment is not good for the person’s spiritual well-being, (if the work environment can lend itself to improper or immodest behavior).

Regarding lobing your job, you doing have to love it, but if you hate it, that isn’t good. This can cause the person undue stress, and a specific job or workplace is not everything in life.

When looking for an employer, you would want a person who is compassionate, and considerate, and fair. This is something you might be able to find out by talking to people wo are already employed by this person.

This is only very general ideas, as each person’s personal situation, is different.

Best wishes
