Question:
Can the same space on an induction stove top be used for dairy and pareve? The surface of the stove top does get hot (from the heat of the pot). If hot dairy falls on the stove top, is it enough to clean the surface with Windex before putting a pareve pot on?
Answer:
Hello,
It would be permitted to use for both pareve and milchig, or pareve and fleishig, provided that you will wipe up any spills before placing the other type of pot on that spot. The reason is because it is considered nat bar nat of heter. The taste went from the to into the stove top, and after that into the next pot, (and only from there into the food).
Best wishes
Thank you. If that is the case, can the same space be used for milchig and fleishig if cleaned (with Windex or something similar) in between?
Then the same area has taste of issur- milk and meat.
