I was curious I had napkins that were mixed together one of the napkins was a little dirty so I didn’t want to keep it together with the rest which would be borer to separate it. But can I use the dirty napkin to dry something, as if I’m not separating the bad from the good but using it right now?

What you are writing is correct. If you take the napkin out, in order to use it now, you are then taking good, and using it for now. Essentially you changed the “ bad, unwanted napkin, into a good item, for which the rules for taking good from a mixture will apply.
