hologram stickers on chicken packages

Question:

I don't know what it's like in America, but in E"Y, the meat and chicken usually come with a hechser on the package and a note underneath that says the hechsher is only valid if there is also a hologram sticker of the hechser stuck to the package. Anyway, the other day I was making a large amount of chicken for a simcha and I noticed that one of the packages had only half a sticker, but I could see an outline from a sticker that was once there, so I used the package, assuming that the rest of the sticker fell off during its time defrosting (and we ate the food). However, now I'm wondering if I acted correctly and if it was okay to use the chicken.

Answer:

I think you  did.

Best wishes
