Hi,
- I understand it is assur to stand up before reciting the shema. However, can one stand up while in the middle of reciting the 3 parshios? Sometimes I'm still in the middle when the minyan gets to shmone esrei.
- Separately, I understand that the issur of standing up stems from the word Uvkumecha. Shouldn't this only apply in the morning, when Bais Shammai says to stand up, and not to the evening shema?

- It is permitted to stand up in middle of shema, if it is clear that the reason for your standing is not[1] because of the shema, rather for another reason. For example, to give your place to an older person, if someone started shemona esrei in back of you… Being that it is evident that it is not to be stringent like Bais Shammai, it is permitted.
- You are correct for the evening shema, we don’t specifically sit down[2] right before saying kriyas shema.
