Kaddish end during a leap year

Question:

My mother died on January 21, 2024 and was buried on January 22, 2024 mid-day. When do I stop saying Kaddish?

Answer:

Hello,

Kaddish is usually said for 11 months from the day of the funeral. Your mothers funeral was on 12th of Shevat, and 11 Hebrew months after that came out on 11th of Kislev, being that last year was a leap year, and there were two Adars. Therefore you should have stopped saying kaddish on December 12th after mincha.
