Question:
Hello if someone runs a small tzeddakah organization and gets donations for it what are his responsibilities to watch the money. He has 1000 dollars or so does he have to have the money in bank or can he responsibly keep the donations at home if this is easier thank you
Answer:
Hello,
The general rule is that he has to watch it at the level of how he would watch his own money. If it is a sum that he would keep hidden in the house, then he can do so for the tzedakah money. However, if it is a large amount then it should be put into the bank, (as he would reasonably do this even for his own money).
Best wishes
