Why am I not crying for my past sins?

Question:

If I am noy crying about my past sins despite the fact that I regret them and stopped doing them, is my teshuva not complete/accepted

Answer:

If you regret what you did, have confessed your sin to Hashem, and have stopped doing the sins that you did in the past, that is teshuva, and it is accepted. If the person really regrets what they did, to the degree that the person actually changes and takes on a new path in life regarding that sin, that means that inside of himself, his soul (is deep feelings) was as if it was crying.

Best wishes
