Sincerity with financial obstacles

Question:

B"H

Question: When a person wants to convert to Judaism and has been living an Orthodox Jewish life already for years and continues to do so happily, willingly, and without apology, would the Beit Din refuse them if they live with their folks due to some financial difficulty? Would the Beit Din say no to them as a conversion candidate and or not have them complete the conversion? Thank you for your time.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Answer:

Hello,

You will need a Bais Din that does conversions, as we don't do them, and the Bais Din that you are going to will decide that. On one hand you are sincere about it, but on the other hand, one of the considerations that the Bais Din has, is the practical aspect of things. Is the person in a situation that they will reasonably be able to carry out the undertaking of doing all of the mitzvos, or not. It is possible that being that you are already doing it in you present situation, that they will accept, it, but I can't know that.

Hashem should help you, and that you true will should bear fruit without much difficulty.

Best wishes
