Fell Asleep Before Saying Kriyas Shma

Question:

If I fall asleep at night before saying Kriyas Shema Al Hamita, and then I wake up in middle of the night, do I say Shema?

Answer:

Hello,

Yes, you can still say shema, hamapil, hashkivenu, etc. until alos hashachar, (unless you are afraid you won't fall back asleep until then.

  1. What if you're wakimg up for the day, before Alos, and didn't say Krias Shma Al Hamita, do you say it, and do you say before or after Brochos?

    1. If you are waking up for the day, you are no longer Al Hamita, so you wouldn't sat=y it at all.
