It is permitted for a wife of a Kohen to enter a hospital while she is pregnant, even though it is possible that the fetus is a boy who is a Kohen. The reason it is permitted is because there is a double doubt here that her fetus is a Ohen. Firstly[1] it is possible that it is a girl, and secondly even if it is a boy, there is always the unfortunate chance that the child will be stillborn etc. Therefore, according to the rules of “safek sefeuka” it would be permitted. A second reason[2] to permit it is because right now the child is totally covered and inside his mother, which is considered “tumah balua”, and the child would not be considered tameh.
