Should we proceed with a Shidduch where the boy has two first names, one of which is the same as the father of the girl? Is that enough of a "shinui"? And should we proceed on the basis that if there is an issue in the future the boy could change his name? or better not to proceed if they have not yet met?

There are different opinions about this, most poskim are not makpid on this, especially if the boy is not called by the same name as his father-in-law. If you want to be makpid even for this, if some people should call the boy by both of his names.
