Regarding taking down mezuzahs to be checked:
1. May a person take the mezuzahs down on a Tuesday and drop them off to be checked on a Wednesday or Thursday or does the taking down and dropping off need to be on the same day (so as to not leave the location without mezuzahs overnight?)
2. When putting mezuzahs back up after they are checked, is a bracha recited?

Hello,
- Essentially the door should not be without a mezuza, however if the apartment is not yours and you are only renting it, then outside of Eretz Yisroel you can be lenient[1]
- Making a bracha when reaffixing the mezuza on the doorpost, depends on how long the mezuza was down[2]. If it was put back the same day, then you don’t have to make a new bracha, however if it was put back the next day then you would, make a new bracha.
