Kashrus

Question:

The other night one of my children decided to make spaghetti in a dairy pot. When they went to strain off the water they by mistake did it into the meat sink (there was a glass pot lid in the sink at the time). I don’t recall if the pot was used within 24 hrs prior or not, however I did wash meat dishes in that sink earlier that day.
What is the status of the meat sink/meat pot lid (glass)/dairy pot? And if I need to do anything what needs to be done?
Thank you in advance.

Answer:

Hello,

If the spaghetti was pareve, (without cheese or milk) then everything is still kosher and there is no need to do anything. This is because the pot was not a ben yomo, and the spagetti was a nat bar nat.

Best wishes
