Hi, I am usually very careful about disposing of my nails. However at times I worry if nail residue falls on the floor eg if my nail rubs against another nail or fabric of clothing (I don't even know if this would actually cause residue to fall or if I am just being paranoid) and could be stepped on by a pregnant woman Chas Vshalom. Is this something to worry about? Its worth mentioning I am a little OCD.

This is not something that you have to worry about. There is a general rule, “The torah was not given to angles”, and we are not obligated to worry that some minute residue, inadvertently came of our nail. Therefore you do not have to worry about this, and it will serve you well not to think about it anymore.
