Question:
I take a sleeping pill every night for many years. If I don't take it erev Yom Kippur, I am all night or sleep extremely lightly. I don't want to miss Hatoras nedarim. The pill kicks in within an hour of taking it and if I not in bed it causes heart palpitations. Is there a way I can take it before bed or it is better to miss hatoras nedarim? (I am female)
Answer:
You should not miss Kol Nidrei, as you need it to nullify any vows that you might have made during the year. (Also remember to say along with the chazzan once.)
