Question:
I feel embarrassed to ask this question to someone bc im 15 and I feel very bad about it. is is possible if I can get a step by step for shachris and mincha.
Answer:
Hello,
There is no need to be embarrassed… chazal say ,” lo habayishan lomed”, a bashful person will not learn, because he is embarrassed to ask.
There are different nushchaos, Ashkenaz, Sefard, Chassidish, Yeshivish, so it is hard to direct you withoit knowing which nusach you are using. The best way to learn this, is by watching and listening carefully to the chazal, by Shacharis and Mincha. For a few days, listen to what the chazal is saying, and follow what he is doing in the siddur. Where he starts saying out loud, and what he says quietly. You also have to learn the sing-song tune that he uses, and different communities use different tunes. If you have your own siddur, you can make small annotations, where to start, and what is said loud, where to stop. Tis is especially true regarding kaddish.
Then, in a quiet room, do a dry run, and make believe you ae the chazan. After doing that you will be well on your way to try it with a small minyan, or in your yeshiva. And before you know it, you’ll be professional.
Best wishes
