Making reference to Greek mythology

Question:

A popular phrase in psychology which I have cause to use is "Atlas complex," which describes someone who feels 'the weight of the world on his shoulders.' Atlas was a character in Greek mythology. Since the phrase is useful and certainly does not imply adherence to or admiration for mythology itself, may it be used?

Answer:

Hello,

If this is what the term means at present, then it is fine to use it.

Best wishes
