Does the prohibition of eating fruit from a new tree act in the rest of a nut tree? If I get a nut tree sometime in the future, am I required to wait three years to harvest the nuts?

Technically the prohibition to et the nuts would apply for the first three years, even though it is outside of Eretz Yisroel. When you get the tree let us know if you are replanting it, or keeping it inside the container that it came in, so we can advise you s to what to do.
