For medical reasons, it's better for me not to get one ear wet. I'm accustomed to tovel in the mikvah every morning. If I tovel while blocking the ear with my finger, does the tevilla still 'count', or does the fact that the water can't enter my ear, etc., make it ineffective? Thank You.

If you can wet your fingers before putting them into your ears, that would be preferred. However, if you can’t even do that, you may still tovel, because for Tevilas Ezra, this will not invalidate the tevila.
