Question:

2. I want to make a workbook based on the topic and ideas of the book without quoting or referencing the book in any manner?
The workbook would be fir sale to cover the costs of the program
3. Do I need the author's approval to:
A. Create the workbook
B. Sell the workbook
C. Have the workbook reviewed by the author and get approval for any content in it?
D. Give the author any royalties or compensation

Answer:

Hello,

You don't have a problem with the workbook, although it is based on the book, nevertheless you are the one who made it. The issue would be with the book itself. You would not be allowed to photocopy p[arts of the book ,for example each week, and give it out to the class, because you are taking away purchases of the book from the publisher. If however the books are being purchased, that would be fine.

Best wishes
