Money owed

Question:

Two and half years ago. My ex-husband's daughter and son in law borrowed 70,000 nis from me (for a down payment on their house) it was my entire savings amount but I was promised they'd pay it back. They had some other property and they were going to get money back from there and repay me.
Meanwhile that has never happened (and since then I've gotten divorced from their father.)
I've tried over the past couple years to call them, text them, email them every single time I've been completely ignored. I then sent messages asking them to come to beis din and pick a beis din, but they've ignored every attempt.
My lawyer, who is frum, suggests that I take them to regular courts.
What should I do?

Answer:

Hello,

You have to first go to a Bais Din, and the Bais Din will attempt to do what they can. If they see that they are not responding, etc., they can give you permission to go to a secular court. You may go to court,  only if you have the permission of a Bais Din. Additionally, you can let them know, that you are planning to take this to Bais Din and then to court.

Best wishes
