Question:
Hi,
1) I recently washed my hands with hand soap and then touched a hot fleishig spoon. There was no visible substance left on hands, but they were a bit wet and I still had the residue. Anyway, I then checked the ingredients of the soap and saw that among other things, it contained non fat dry milk. Is this problematic if I dealt with hot fleishig things after using it?
2) I heated up challa on top of foil on my fleishig hot plate this past shabbos. I then used the other challa that my have come into contact with the hot foil or the challa from the hot plate with my dairy sandwich maker to make hot cheese sandwiches. Is this problematic?
Answer:
Hello,
Both question are not problematic.
The spoon was a kli sheini, and the amount of milk residue on your hands was negligible, and would not be enough to make the spoon treif, aside for being inedible.
The fleishig hotplate is not going to make the challah fleishig if it is placed on top of a piece of silver foil.
Best wishes
And what if I had touched the hot pot (kli rishon) with my hands. Would this be problematic?
