Oseh Shalom during chazoras hashatz

Question:

  1. If I cannot take three steps back or to the side after finishing my personal amidah because people are praying behind me or at my sides, then I know I must wait until one of them finishes davening before I take those steps back and say Oseh Shalom. However, if one of them finishes during the Chazan's repetition, should I take the three steps back and say Oseh Shalom right away, or should I wait until after the repetition?
  2. And what should I do if the Chazzan reaches Kedushah before one of the people praying behind me or at my sides has finished??

Answer:

Hello,

  1. You may step back three paces and say “Oseh Shalom,” but it is preferable to wait if you can. See sources.
  2. You are allowed to respond to the entire kedusha since you already said the second yihiyu l’ratzon.”
