I'm having trouble understanding how it is permissible for telemarketers to call customers/clients during their employee work time. Wouldn't this constitute lifnei iver, as employer time is being stolen by the fact that I am calling, regardless of whether it is a goy or Jew? Additionally, if one is prohibited from studying Torah and performing a mitzva during employee work time, wouldn't this be the same for telemarketing?
I'm just wanting to know because I recently applied for a sales job (insurance-insuratec) and am going to have an interview soon, and this question came to mind. Before I proceed I want to ensure that this is actually permissible. Please ASAP.

It is nice to see how you are careful about halacha in the face of a financial difficulty, this shows that you are a yireh shomayim. Halachically though you may take the job and you do not have to worry that it will disturb workers from thier jobs. Firstly because they do not have to answer you, and even if they do answer, they might be on a break, and allowed to answer phone calls. Therefore it is not consider lifnei iver to call them, even if it is during work hours.
