Question:
Hi,
My 8-year-old daughter made cheesy pasta in the microwave in a disposable plastic bowl, decided she didn't like it, and then set it down on the parve counter. I only noticed this much later, when the pasta was sitting cold on the counter (and there were also a few stray pasta pieces near the bowl; they may have jumped out when she set it down). I don't know how hot it was when she set it down. She told me it was "nayim" (warmish, I guess). Do I have to kasher the counter? What about anything that was sitting near that spot on the counter where she put it down?
Answer:
Hello,
You can assume that it was not hot enough to make anything trief when it was placed on the counter, and there is no need to kasher anything.
Best wishes
