Question:
Hi,
There's a device that called a Continuous Glucse Monitor. It looks like a small patch that's applied to the upper arm or abdomen and monitors a person's glucose over time. It connects to an app on one's phone, where the glucose numbers and trends can be viewed. One can then see which foods have the highest impact on his glucose levels, and adjust his diet accordingly. The patch is applied and stays in place for 15 days, after which, a new patch is applied. Anyone can buy this device from Amazon, even non-diabetics. Obviously, shabbos occurs during those 15 days. The patch keeps track of the readings, even when it's not connected to the phone or the phone is off. When the phone is turned back on the patch syncs the data back to the app to bring it up to date.
Can a non-diabetic wear this patch on shabbos?
Thank you
