Thanks for answering my previous question. I have another question. My hot plate has a glass top. Is it best to buy a new one, since in the past I did not know and used it with dairy and meat pans (not at the same time, but I can’t remember if maybe my kids ever put some dairy pastry on it)? And what about pots and pans that I have used, not at the same time? Is it a problem now, after the fact?

Both the stovetop and the pots may still be used. The stovetop because we will rely on the poskim who say that glass doesn’t absorb, regarding basar b’chalav. The pots would also not need koshering if they were placed on the stovetop when it was free of any residue of the opposite type (i.e., meat or milk), as it would be nat bar nat and eino ben yomo.
