It is common custom to do kaparos before Yom Kippur.

The Ramo writes that the custom is to donate the value of the kaparos to poor people.

Donating to poor Torah scholars is a particularly excellent way to fulfill this custom.

It is possible via the website to donate your kaparos money to very indigent Torah scholars.

Hold the money in your hand and say 3 times:

בְּנֵי אָדָם יֹשְׁבֵי חֹשֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָוֶת, אֲסִירֵי עֳנִי וּבַרְזֶל: יוֹצִיאֵם מֵחֹשֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָוֶת, וּמוֹסְרוֹתֵיהֶם יְנַתֵּק:

אֱוִוילִים מִדֶּרֶךְ פִּשְׁעָם, וּמֵעֲווֹנוֹתֵיהֶם יִתְעַנּוּ: כָּל אֹכֶל תְּתַעֵב נַפְשָׁם, וַיַּגִּיעוּ עַד שַׁעֲרֵי מָוֶת:

וַיִּזְעֲקוּ אֶל אֲ-דֹנָי בַּצַּר לָהֶם, מִמְּצֻקוֹתֵיהֶם יוֹשִׁיעֵם: יִשְׁלַח דְּבָרוֹ וְיִרְפָּאֵם, וִימַלֵּט מִשְּׁחִיתוֹתָם:

יוֹדוּ לַא-דֹנָי חַסְדּוֹ וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָם: אִם יֵשׁ עָלָיו מַלְאָךְ מֵלִיץ, אֶחָד מִנִּי אָלֶף, לְהַגִּיד לְאָדָם יָשְׁרוֹ:

וַיְחֻנֶּנּוּ, וַיאמֶר, פְּדָעֵהוּ מֵרֶדֶת שַׁחַת, מָצָאתִי כפֶר:

swing the money over one’s head three times and say:

זֶה חֲלִיפָתִי, זֶה תְּמוּרָתִי, זֶה כַּפָּרָתִי. זֶה הַכֶּסֶף יֵלֵךְ לִצְדָקָה, וַאֲנִי אֶכָּנֵס וְאֵלֵךְ לְחַיִּים טוֹבִים אֲרֻכִּים וּלְשָׁלוֹם:

if you its also for other people swing the money over the heads three times and say:

זֶה חֲלִיפָתֵנוּ זֶה תְּמוּרָתֵנוּ, זֶה כַּפָּרָתֵנוּ. זֶה הַכֶּסֶף יֵלֵךְ לִצְדָקָה, וַאֲנַחְנוּ נִכָּנֵס וְנֵלֵךְ לְחַיִּים טוֹבִים אֲרֻכִּים וּלְשָׁלוֹם:
