Many thanks for your prompt response concerning the Halacha for removing Tephillin on Chol Hamoed Pesach, however, although we remove them before MUSAF does that mean after Ashrei U’va L’Tzion or after Krias Hatorah or after the Seforim are returned to the Aron Kodesh?
Answer:
The general custom is to remove Tefillin before Mussaf.
Previously there were customs of removing Tefillin right after Hallel, or even before Hallel, as noted by the Mishnah Berurah (423:10). Of course, in places where this is the custom, this is what should be done.
