Menu Written on Electronic Frame

One may not read a menu or guest list from a written paper on Shabbat or yom tov because one may come to erase/write/read shtaar hedyot. If one has a electronic picture frame that is left on Shabbat/yom tov and is left on to a picture of a menu for Shabbat would this be OK? One will not come to read shtaar hedyot, because this is like a wall (gemara Shabbat 149) and one will certainly to come to erase or write because one cannot.

Answer:

We rule in accordance with the opinion that even on the wall it is forbidden to read such writings (because of the concern that one will read shtarei hedyotos), so that an electronic frame won’t help in this case.

See Shulchan Aruch, Orach Chaim 307:12.

Best wishes.
