It is permitted discuss business ideas on Chol Hamoed, as the halachos of "vdaber davar" are not applicable on Chol Hamoed. (See M"B 543-7, SS"K 68-26 ftnt. 102). If a business idea will get forgotten it is permitted to write oneself a reminder, as this would be a davar haaved.
