brochos

Question:

What bracha do you make on on matzah bri
I take two matzah crumple them up into small pieces, pure hot water on them till very soft then add two eggs and fried onions then I fry it in a pan on the stove
What bracha do I make?

Answer:

When matzoh bri is crumbled, and hot water is poured over it (iruy kli rishon), it is questionable what it’s bracha is, therefore you should eat some matzoh with it, and make hamotzei on the matzoh. A way to avoid this issue, is to put the matzoh into a small pot, and cook it very shortly, then since the pieces are smaller than a k’zayis the bracha would be mezonos.
