I have a position available in the army reserve. However, the days they require you to be there are weekends. Am I allowed to work on shabbos in the army reserve?

Assuming the work includes any form of Shabbos transgression, whether Biblical or Rabbinic, this would be forbidden on Shabbos. Only in the instance of a war or some other life threatening emergency would it permissible for one to violate any prohibition.
