Cheese on outside of toaster status

Question:

We put a cheese sandwich on the metal rim of a new parve toaster and turned it on. Some melted cheese stuck to this rim, but no cheese went into the actual inside of the toaster where the bread goes. We wanted to use the toaster now to make a piece of parve toast for a turkey sandwich. Does the toaster and every piece of bread goes into it from now on considered milchig?

Answer:

Clean off all of the cheese well so that there will not be any residue of the cheese left on the toaster. Then heat it up for fifteen twenty minutes, and then you can use it as pareve again.

Best wishes
