Studying Exodus-Deuteronomy

Question:

Can you point me in the direction of a resource that has the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy integrated…in other words, instead of reading Exodus then Leviticus then Numbers straight through to Deuteronomy, I am wanting to read Exodus and then when we get to the Sinai part read the portions from Leviticus and Numbers that would have taken place at Sinai, then read on as they leave Sinai and read Numbers integrated as possible into Deuteronomy.

For example, in the Christian Bible, you can read the book of Acts integrated with the epistles of Paul and Peter because Acts is the account of the apostle’s travels and teachings and the epistles contain the content of those teachings.

It seems that beginning with Exodus 20, content from Leviticus and Numbers could be integrated into the instructions given at Sinai.

I’m hoping to read the entire account in a flow from Sinai to the Jordan.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my question and point me to any resources gathered by someone on whose shoulders I might stand in my own faith journey,

Sincerely,

Jennifer Richmond

Answer:

Hi,

Unfortunately, I don’t have a chronological order of what happened and which commandments were given in a time-line type of order. The order of the passages in the Bible were arranged according to the other considerations, therefore it isn’t in a chronological order.

Good luck on your journey
