I have a problem.
For years I have a tremendous OCD issues.
- My newest, is mentally not being able to contain it if I find a pusuk or a little word of Hebrew or a siddur on top of a Chumash or an index card from a Navi test on top of a sefer or a bentcher on top of another bentcher that has more tefillah just random stuff around my house and in my daily life.
- Do I have to leave my backpack open at night and not let it touch the ground, because it has a photocopied page of a Chumash with Hashem’s name..
Is this too extreme?

Here are same of the rules regarding what can go on top of something else.
There are three levels.
- Something from Torah[1].
- Something from Neviim or Kesuvim, such a Navi Shmuel, or a Tehillim.
- Anything that is Torah Shebal pe, such a mishnayos, gemora, Kitzur Shulchan Aruch or your handwritten Torah notes.
It is true, you should not put a siddur on top of a Chumash.
If you have a mixture of bentchers there is no need to sort them out.
It is permitted to keep seforim on your backpack[2] even if it is on the floor, and there is no issue with the top of your bag being on top of the Chumash, as it is not disrespectful to the Chumash, since the bag is servicing the Chumash (similar to the cover of the box that the seforim came in…)
