Shave on Erev pesach

Question:

Is there a heter to shave Erev Pesach after chatzos (without a goy)?

Answer:

I didn’t receive your question until it was already Yom Tov in E. Yisroel… but at least you’ll have the answer for next year. In most instances it is not permitted. The reason being that erev Pesach is considered like a moed, and has halachos like Chol Hamoed. However Shmiras Shabbos Khilchoso 42 ftnt. 145, says that it would be permitted to get a haircut from a Jew that needs the money for his Yom Tov needs. Needless to say, that one should not push off taking a haircut until after chatzos even if he has such a person, should shave etc. brefore chatzos.

Best Wishes
