Collecting Fruit from Small Area

In regards to the malacha of “ma’amer” what is the din if all of the fruit that someone wants to collect is all within hands reach without moving from one place. It’s still “spread out” however if it’s all within hands reach is this considered makom echad? Is there b’clal a heter of makom echad? What’s the din.

Answer:

If the fruit fall in “one place,” there’s no problem of collecting them (Shulchan Aruch, Orach Chaim 335:5).

This applies to any small area (Ayil Meshulash Siman 7, p. 175; Halachos of Shabbos, Rabbi Shimon Eider, Vol. 1, p. 85).
